North SHOPPE

METROPOLITAN WEST
639 West 46th Street
New York, NY 10036

Once home to the legendary H&H Bagels, this circa 1920s factory building has been reborn as an event space offering two vast and open levels fit to showcase New York’s finest wares. Close proximity to the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center just off of Manhattan’s West Side Highway made Metropolitan West the ideal venue for the debut of SHOPPE OBJECT in August 2018. For our expanded February 2019 market Metropolitan West will resume as NORTH SHOPPE, offering a fresh edit of visionary brands including familiar favorites and exciting new ones.

We are pleased to announce the introduction of an additional venue for our February 2019 show. SOUTH SHOPPE will be housed at Hudson Mercantile, offering two floors of comfortable and convenient expansion just ten blocks south of NORTH SHOPPE, and one block east of the main entrance to the Javits Center. Continuous shuttles will run between our two venues, and both will be curated to make exploration fun and rewarding. Expect ease of entry, the same great vibes, and even more of the brands we’re proud to call the SHOPPE OBJECT community.

NG COLLECTIVE

This Season’s Artist

A dual-city fine art collaborative of sisters Laura Naples and Kristen Giorgi, NG Collective are the selected artists for our second season. Giorgi’s Kollected TEN and Naples’ Loose II were chosen for their combined representation of the creative spirit and vitality of the Shoppe Object community.

Naples and Giorgi work independently from their home studios, each informing the other in an ongoing dialogue. Their individual work draws upon observations of how the other is leaning in thought and process, illumination the moments when their perspectives differ and the moments when they collide.
