An expert in historic photographic techniques and a connoisseur of the art-object, Jefferson Hayman’s work merges early photo processes and vintage or one-of-a-kind frames, inviting viewers into an alluring portal of subject and places that conjure the mystique and poetic expression of analog film. We were drawn to his love of New York, his meditative studies of water, and to his tonal still lifes, which capture the permanence of everyday objects in an almost spiritual form.
