Jojo Feld is the VP of Buying, Merchandising and Supply Chain for Food52, a leading innovator in the food, cooking, and home space, on a mission to inspire people to eat thoughtfully and live joyfully by sharing great recipes, stories, and ideas with its passionate community of cooks and home enthusiasts, and by curating the best cooking tools, tableware, and home goods. An early team member, Jojo helped build - and now leads - the brand's eCommerce arm, through careful design curation, a passion for brand storytelling, and a genuine connection to the customer. The Food52 Shop leads with community - the customer's needs and delights from the kitchen to the table to the sofa, the stories of the history and craft of its many products and makers (big and small!), and the Food52 team's relationship to both. Jojo and her team believe that the intersection of function, beauty, and heart make for a successful retail business, and are thrilled to be a part of the Shoppe Object community.

What kinds of products/objects are you most drawn to right now?

Given the slower pace of NYC life that's upon us, I'm gravitating these days towards products that will really help me indulge in my homebound life during these stressful and strange times. Beautiful vases (to pair with regular flower deliveries that I have recently arranged!). Comfy bedding and pillows that I can't wait to get into for my now leisurely bedtime routine. My favorite candles so my home - now, my workplace - smells divine all day long. Little things that really make the amount of time I am spending in my home feel luxe.

Name an item that you can’t seem to keep in stock!

The Citronella Hanging Coil from Fredericks & Mae! It's always been super popular with our customers, but given the amount of time people are spending outside right now, it's impossible to keep it "on our shelves"!

What’s the best purchase you’ve made for yourself this year?

I tossed out all of my bath mats and invested in new thick, plush ones this year; when I get out of the shower and my feet hit the extra cushy mat, it transforms my Brooklyn bathroom into a relaxing spa enclave.

Favorite Shoppe On brand discovery?

Suna Bonometti! Her sculptural jewelry speaks to me in the same way a gorgeous handmade piece of home decor would. We don't sell jewelry at Food52, but as soon as I saw her earrings, I snagged some for my personal collection. Maybe we could do a home line collaboration with her one day...
