Cushendale Woollen Mills
“There is a deep rooted passion in everything we do. It comes from our heritage, our identity and our desire to create lifelong pieces for a more sustainable world.”
Cushendale textiles balance unrivalled provenance with contemporary designs.
Six generations of the Cushen family have been spinning and weaving wool in Kilkenny Ireland since 1778. Today Miriam Cushen works side by side with her father Philip continuing to run one of only two vertical mills in Ireland where Irish fleece is crafted into lifelong yarns and textiles.
Cushendale textiles in Irish wool, mohair and lambswool are made in small batches, ensuring exceptional care at each unique and delicate stage. Skilled craftsmanship, hand precision and premium wool are key to achieving the Cushendale quality mark.
Jennifer Slattery
Jennifer Slattery is an award-winning Irish textile studio specializing in embroidered Irish linen for the table. Each piece is made in Ireland and hand-finished at their Dublin City studio. Working with a small team, Jennifer Slattery is proud to collaborate and partner with exceptional Irish weavers and suppliers. Together, they create everyday items that are designed to last.
Shock of Grey
Founded by Sarah Carroll Kelly, Shock of Grey makes bold, unique, handcrafted statement jewelry from unpredictable materials, such as wood, brass, plastic, silicone and clay.
Pieces are designed, wood cut, painted, clay molded, and cast in Dublin. Sourcing sustainably wherever possible, Shock of Grey ships finished jewelry in recycled packaging. The founder hails from Dublin 8, Ireland, (right down the road from the Guinness Factory!) with her husband, two sons, and two cats.
Molloy & Sons
Molloy & Sons is a small, 6th generation family-run weaving mill based in Donegal, on the Northwest Atlantic coast of Ireland. They specialize in authentic Donegal tweed and throws woven from locally sourced 100% natural fiber yarns.
Built on the solid foundations of a rich heritage, the Molloy family have been in the textile business since Edward Molloy began weaving in the 19th Century.
The intricate colors and tones found in their throws are inspired by the wealth of knowledge passed on from their ancestors, the dramatic beauty of the ocean, sky, and hills in their surroundings, and the famed tweed production of their region.
Baressential Art of Soap
A woman-owned and led artisan skincare company est. 2014, Baressential Art of Soap is based in the heart of rural Ireland. Their products are all crafted by hand in small batches, combining the finest raw ingredients sourced ethically and with respect for the environment.
Their products draw inspiration from the ever-changing seasons over the Irish countryside, sea, and sky-scape, with scents that evoke the smell of a summer shower, a hazy meadow in August, or a crisp morning frost on the forest floor.
Baressential considers working in harmony with nature is a potent source of healing for people, the planet, and the future. Their products are 100% natural, created via a traditional cold press method, with raw plant oils, herbs, spices, mineral pigments, and blended essential oils.
They are so mild they can become part of a daily facial skincare routine, and each recipe and blend is unique.
McConnell
McConnell is an Irish knitwear brand located in Co. Clare. With a strong focus on heritage and craftsmanship, the collection draws inspiration from time-honored work-wear pieces. The geansaí (the gaelic or Irish language word meaning jumper) for example, is key – and traditional Aran and fisherman rib sweaters are reworked for a contemporary wardrobe.
Una Burke Leather
Úna Burke Leather is a female owned brand with sustainability at its heart. This tough yet elegant unisex collection champions the everyday heroes of our world, celebrating their resilience and strength. Each piece is entirely handcrafted in their little leather Atelier in the West of Ireland, using full-grain UK and Italian Vegetable-Tanned cowhides and joined using solid brass hardware. These leathers are produced using only natural minerals, extracted from tree bark, leaves, fruit, and vegetable oils. This type of leather develops a unique patina, a personal story between user and product, as it alters in texture and tone in response to handling and wear. Five generations of leatherworkers and dressmakers inform the brand’s age-old craft techniques. This expertise, combined with precious materials and a contemporary aesthetic, creates a unique, heirloom-quality product which will age with attitude and remain timeless in style.
